Riverfront Adventures & Wildlife Watching
Step out your door and onto scenic riverfront trails! The Lodge at River Trails is adjacent to national forest land, giving your group direct access to hiking, wildlife spotting, and peaceful riverside strolls. Watch eagles soar and deer graze from the comfort of your upper deck, or take a nature walk with the kids and family dogs. For a true riverside experience, use the provided kayaks and regional launch passes to explore the Big Deschutes River—enjoy access to beautiful stretches, such as La Pine State Park and select tranquil areas along the water. Please note: Kayaks should be launched from designated regional areas, not the property itself, to ensure safety and protect the shoreline. Availability of certain launch points and river conditions may vary by season and local regulations.

Game Nights, Movie Marathons & Family Fun
Rain or shine, the game room is the heart of at-home entertainment! Gather for friendly competition with pool, foosball, shuffleboard, and classic arcade games—perfect for families, friend groups, and reunions. Wind down with a movie marathon on one of the five streaming-ready Smart TVs, or host a board game night in spacious communal living areas. With two distinct living spaces and flexible sleeping arrangements—including bunk rooms for kids and privacy for adults—the layout offers plenty of room for guests to relax, play, and connect.

Seasonal Outdoor Experiences: Fire Pit & Hot Tub Relaxation
Experience the beauty of every season with activities tailored to the time of year. In winter, gather around the riverfront fire pit for marshmallow toasting and stargazing, or soak in the private hot tub after a snowy hike or day on the slopes at Mt. Bachelor (just 25 minutes away). During fall and spring, enjoy the fire pit where permitted. In summer, the fire pit is closed for safety—but the hot tub, upper deck BBQ, and riverside patio remain perfect spots for evening gatherings and relaxation. Home information and guidance will help you enjoy these amenities safely and appropriately for the season.

Central Oregon’s Natural Playground: Fishing, Biking & Skiing
The Lodge’s riverside location is your gateway to fly fishing (just minutes away at Fall River), mountain biking on nearby forest trails, and winter sports at Mt. Bachelor. Spend summer afternoons kayaking or tubing regional rivers, hike to local waterfalls, or drive less than an hour to the Cascade Lakes for a day of swimming, boating, and mountain views. With ample parking for boats, RVs, and snowmobiles, this home serves as a great base camp for your Central Oregon adventure—all with the comfort of returning to a hot tub and spacious, welcoming accommodations at day’s end.
